I gave Max his 1st haircut today, I just cut the curls off behind his ears, so he has a little boys cut now!

A week of sickness

Sunday 26th July it started with me, I was very sick, I couldn't get out of bed, then Sunday night Hannah had a temp, and by Tuesday she still had it. and was coughing way too much too. I took her into the hosp. just to check her over, and we were admitted overnight! they were very concerned about her right lung and her asthma, she had a chest x-ray, which came back clear, and she had so much ventolin I thought it was way too much, but by wednesday arvo she was back to her normal self, annoying Kaylee LOL. then thursday, Kaylee got the temp, but other than that was fine cause she doesn't have any asthma, then friday Max go it, and now Greg has the flu! so it has hit us all!!
I cant wait for summer and warmer weather!

Hannah was so good in hospital, she had to wear an oxygen tube that went in the end of her nostrils, and she didn't complain about it, not once, we had pencils and some school work given to us by the nurses which was great because at 8.30pm the TV automatically turned off, and theres no radio, or anything! we just laid in our beds and chatted. I think Hannah enjoyed it. just having her an I.
we had a shocking sleep though, every time Hannah's oxygen level dropped the machine alarm would go off, and that was pretty often, than if it wasn't the alarm, it was the nurses coming in to check her temp of listen to her chest,I think I slept about 2hrs in total. it was so nice to come home, we slept very well being back in our own beds.

Max stood up!

Max stood up today for about 5 seconds, he thought he was so great, he even clapped his hands LOL.

Max now has 4 double teeth, 4 front top, and 2 front bottom, and his front bottom right has just strted to come through...
I really must get him a baby book like the girls have......
and I forgot to put on here he crawled April 8th.

I got very excited today, after max woke up from his day sleep, he was squealing, and having so much fun in his cot, i was listening to him on the monitor,
when i opened his door he was sitting up, and he did it all by himself, he was waving his arms up and down and laughing, i think he was actually proud of himself , so i laid him down and said, show me how u got into that sitting position......
and he did,, he sat up and squealed again

well Max had his re-check hearing test the other day and he passed with flying colours, unlike last time he was just on the pass line..

he's turning 1 in 6wks so i am starting to plan his bday party, it will be just family, nothing huge.

Max is around 11kgs and he would eat all day if i let him!
still breastfed, he probably has 4 or 5 feeds a day.
he is such a boy, loves to kick things, and bang things, and the more boystress the better
i can picture him when he gets older, he will take whatever it is the girls are playing with, off them, and he will run away laughing while the girls cry cause he took their stuff

his tounge tremors have fully stopped also to very very VERY happy about that.
off to the sydney childrens hosp to the neuro musculor Dr on the 24th for his follow up appointment, hopefully they wont need to see him again after that.
Max is still having physio, and O.T. checks his fine motor skills, which he is still behind on, but the older he gets im thinking its part Max too, he's just a very laid back boy......................he's bewdiful and i love him to bits....

Max's MRI 15th June 09

Max had his MRI today , it went well, I dropped the girls to Mums last night, Hannah had the day off school, which made it so much easier, so Hannah and Kaylee had a sleep over and they were very excited about it. Mum said they were very good and not 1 fight! so that was great, Shanaye was there too, and usually when the 3 of them get together, and them all being Scorpios, they all want to be the leader LOL

I dont often have to get up at 5.30am ............we left home about 6.30am, I just put Max straight from his bed into the car, all rugged up, he woke up for about 5mins, but once we started driving he was asleep again, he had to fast from 3am so I was worried he would be crying in the car on the way up cause he was hungry, but he slept the whole way. we got to the hosp around 8.30am and then went onto the ward, and they were running late, as hospitals do, and our 9am appointment time ended up being 11am, but around 10am Max started to get cranky and hungry, so I just tried to distract him with the toys and looking out windows, and he did very well.
when they put the mask on him to anesthetize him , I got a bit of a lump in my throat, they asked did I want to kiss him before I left, but I couldn't, it would have made me 'really' cry, then I had to wait about 45mins for him to be scanned, they were giving free back and shoulder massages for patients and staff, but I couldn't find the room so I missed out, I just went to the cafe and had some lunch, and then went to the waiting room, and I was there about 10mins but it felt like an eternity......................then 1 of the nurses came and spoke to another parent and I asked her if Max was in recovery yet, and can I just go and wait by his side rather than in the waiting room, and she went in and asked and then came straight back out to get me, so that made me feel so much better................it was so funny watching him wake up in recovery, I really wish I had got it on video! it was like he was drunk. he was giving all the nurses his cheeky smile, we were all laughing, and they said they how nice it would be if all babies came out of recovery like Max did. and I felt really good, all of the nurses came in to see Max, all at the same time, and they said to each other, come in here and look at how happy this baby is, hes so cute, meanwhile on the other side of the room theres a 4yr old throwing a tantrum on the floor! and I kinda thought to myself, I bet the mother of that child wishes she was me LOL, if only for a little while LOL. good confidence boost anyway.

the Dr came in and went through the scans with me, and showed me all the different parts, so I pretty much got the results, and she said there were no signs of any abnormalities and the cyst/tumor thing had completely gone,,,.....................such a relief to hear that, and I just about cried, and Dr bye noticed and rubbed my arm, and you know how if you are upset and somebody touches you it makes you worse, I had to try and laugh a bit so I didn't cry LOL.......such a sooky la la I am. LOL

we left about 2.30 and then I drove to Mums to get the girls, and we finally got home about 5pm, and the girls were exhausted because they fell asleep in the car, and I put them into bed when we got home, they didnt wake up. Max had some dinner, a bit more than usual, I think he made up for not having any breakfast! He went to bed around 8.30 and went straight off to sleep, hes so good............I dont know how I got so lucky
it really is a weight off our shoulders...................

Update on Max

currently with his physio we are working on his leg strength, and has to practice pulling himself up on things , so going from a sitting position then getting up onto his feet, he can do it on the girls table, or holding onto the side of his playpen, but once he gets up he cant get back down, so I have to sit him back on the floor and let him pull himself up again, he isn't showing signs of standing on his own yet, and he doesn't take steps or move his feet when he stands, I think he gets a bit scared cause he doesn't have the leg strength just yet. there are about 3 babies all 3 and 4mths younger than him and they are all on the same level. .........he will get there eventually.
but he is still the best baby, goes to bed without crying, I put him down, kiss him gnite, give him his dummy and walk out and shut the door and then I don't hear a peep out of him. the past few wks he has been waking up, not sure if its because he gets cold or if his teeth are bugging him.
His MRI is booked in for June 15th, so hopefully he stays healthy between now and then, otherwise we will have to wait another 6mths again. because he has to under a general they wont knock him out if he has been sick...................

back to work for me

I started back at work about 3wks ago, and it hasnt changed a bit. I was even having a conversation the wasnt continued on from 12mths ago when i left! it doesnt even feel like i had a whole yr off. I was meant to start back in March but broke my baby toe , so then I had to wait another 6wks before i could get my stael capped work boots on. so far its good, its my child free time, I dont get to go out without the kids ever so 2 nights a week is a good release, and being paid for it makes it a bonus. stops me from going around the bend too LOL

Kaylee @ pre school

Kaylee is loving pre-school, she always asks if she can go again tomorrow! LOL.
on wednesday the teacher told me how impressed she is with what Kaylee can do, she is advanced for her age with some things, and its mainly thanks to Hannah, because Hannah will learn things in kindy and then come home and teach them to Kaylee, and Kaylee then does the same things at little school , she is a very fast learner, so we wont have any problems with her which is great....................(she has her mothers brain hahahahahaha)..................
and her best friend is a boy!! Noah, she said he talks to her and plays with her all day, but she doesnt like the other boys, just all the other girls.

Max

Max is getting his 1st double tooth, no wonder he has been so very cranky!!!

Kaylees first day at Pre-school.

for the past few weeks we have been getting Kaylee ready for little school ( Hannah goes to big school so Kaylle goes to little school) telling her that we will drop her off and she can stay there all day and then we pick her up in the afternoon, and she loved hearing it, she liked for 1 of us to watch her go to the toilet but we have been saying to her to go by herself cause we cant watch her at little school, sometimes she would wet her pants so we were using this to get her to go to the loo straight away.
I took Hannah to school then took Kaylee to kindy, and we walked in to the room and she put her bag into her locker, and then with a big confident smaqile said, ok so waht can i do? they had a table set up with puzzles on it, another table with play dough and another table with paper and pencils, first she chose the puzzle table, and got fed up with that pretty quick as she couldnt do it, so she then moved to the play douhg table, and one she was getting into it she said, ok mum you can go home now if you want to and you can come and get me again after you go home. so I told Kaylee if she needed me just tell the teacher to ring me and i will come and pick her up. gave her a hug and a kiss and she didnt look back LOL
I was thinking i would be staying there about an hr for her to get used to the room and teqchers, because thats what i did with Hannah, but i was in and out in about 10mins! so i then had 45mins to kill as i had a dr appointment for Max to get his 12mth needles, so i did a bit of window shopping .......

I left home at 2.30 so i could talk to the teachers to see how she went, and Ivka told me that about 11am Kaylee asked her to ring my mum cause i need her, and Ivka told kaylee to wait a while as they were about to go outside and have a play, so Kaylee smiled at the thought of playing outside on the slippery dip and was good as gold after that, I think maybe at 11 she had done all the inside activities and maybe she just felt a bit lost as to what to do next.
I asked her did she make any friends and she said yes ( with a very cheeky smile),,,,,,, 2 boys!!! LOL.

she wants to go again tomorrow , but we told her she has to wait til next wednesday, and she said OKAY (in her nasaly smiley voice )

my baby boy is 1! and i cried all day, Happy that he is getting older and more interactive with us, but sad because i wont ever have a baby aged zero ever again.......

Kaylee

the other day Kaylee asked me if she can go back in my tummy, cause she liked it in there! i asked her how she was going to get in there and she said just cut my fat off and she can fit!

she told me i had a fat tummy, and i said i have a fat tummy because i have had my 3 babies in there, and now i can lose my fat tummy because i wont be having anymore babies in there, so i dont need it, she told me its like a pillow!

Max

had Max's follow up appointment yesterday in the neurology clinic at Sydney childrens hospital, and they said its a good idea to go ahead with the MRI, that will be done in June. I'm a bit nervous about Max having a general anesthetic tho.......
they also said Max still has low muscle tone and is about 3mths behind where he should be. but they are very happy with his progress

Hannah's 1st day of Big School!

Last night it was such an effort to get Hannah into bed, i think she was so excited that she couldn't sleep . LOL. she kept coming out of her room , first it was for a drink, then the toilet, then to tell me she had to wear her white socks with her school shoes........ then finally she fell asleep just after 10pm!
she woke up this morning with a huge smile on her face, and said, I'm going to school today aren't I! i think she was nervous cause she didn't have much for breakfast, only 2 or 3 spoonfuls of special K.
her start time was 9.30am, we all went to see her off on her new adventure. I walked her up to the teacher sitting outside the door, where she got her name tag pinned on her uniform, Greg watched from the window with Kaylee and Max, and i took Hannah into her classroom.she put her bag into a locker, and off she went, she didn't even care if i was behind her or not, i had to ask her for a kiss and a hug goodbye!!!
so she gave me the biggest hug and told me i can go now, so i did.
i think we were there for all of 10 minutes!
there were no tears, but Greg and i had lumps in our throats as our biggest baby headed off to big school!


Kaylee Max and I went to playgroup, which was good, i wasn't thinking about Hannah.

3pm the bell goes to pick her up.
at 2.40pm i headed up to the school to pick Hannah up, when i got there i tapped on the window, and when she saw me, her face turned from a smile to an evil frown!

the bell went, and all the parents go into the classroom to collect the kids.
the poor teachers got bombarded by ALL the parents , so I thought i will wait til 1 day next week before i approach them LOL.
all the kids were sitting on the carpet in a circle and were told, if they see their Mums they can go, well Hannah was standing up, and then after the teacher said that, she looked straight at me and she sat down!! ( little bugger)
so i moved to the side of the room out of everybodys way, and when she finally decided to come to me i asked her,

me. did you have a good day
Hannah.....NO ( with a frown)

me..what did you do today
Hannah.. nofing ( arms folded in a huff)

me.. did you make any new friends
Hannah..no, I don't have any friends. I didn't talk to anyone!

she's got attitude already and its only day 1 !!!!!

a few hrs later i asked her did the teacher read a story? or did she do any drawings and a few other questions
this time i got answers with a smile on her face and she told us all about her day, the teacher read her a story about black and white birds (magpies) that's the pic on the school crest. and they played hopscotch and her buddy Lucy from yr 6 helper her buy her 1st ice-block from the canteen at lunch time.
so she did have a great day, she just didn't want to come home LOL

im thinking maybe 3 or 4 weeks down the track it will sink in that she actually has to go there everyday, and for the next 13yrs LOL

max got his 4th tooth last thursday, top right (His left) i am yet to buy him a baby milestone book like the girls have so have to record his teeth stuff on here till i get one.

its hard to stay cranky!

"Kaylee get over here and pick up your shit!" ( i was very cranky with my monthlys)

she yelled back at me

" ITS NOT MINE!!........Its Hannah's shit"

well...... i had to leave the room, i cracked up laughing

Hannah's afternoon of shopping!

Hannah and I went shopping today to get all her big school stuff
we had to buy black and white to match her uniform. we got hair elastics, school shoes and socks and her school bag

Kaylee and Max stayed home with Greg, and when we got home they were all asleep.

Hannah was very excited when we found a headband to match her checkered school uniform!
she found a black backpack with white and pink flowers on it, its probably bigger than she needs, but i guess she will grow into it.


shes now currently walking around the house fully dressed ready for school. LOL

Christmas.

we all slept in xmas morning, we got up about 9am.
I got up 1st, then Hannah about 2mins later, and i had to remind her to check to see if Santa had come, her face lit up and she headed straight for ht lounge room, Kaylee woke up cranky and sooky ( as usual) and Max just wanted some boobie milk.
so we opened up our presents, Hannah got a scooter from Santa, Kaylee got some dolls house accessories, and Max got a toy with a steering wheel on it and it light s up and talks and he loves it
although the highlight if the day for Max was the paper, in every pic taken of him opening a present, he puts the paper straight into his mouth LOL.

it was my parents for Lunch and Gregs sisters for dinner. we all had a great day.

Max

Dec 16th Max had his hearing test, and they said he only just passed.

there was a line on a graph, and above the line was a pass, he was right on the line.

still not 100% sure how they test a babys hearing, but he is being tested again in 3months time.
they also said he has a bit of fluid in his ears.

Dec 17th, Max had to see the speech therapist, and the physio and some other therapist lady! cant remember her title, but she checks his motor skills and fine motor skills.

we saw the speech therapist because he wasn't holding his tongue down when he was eating,he would hold his tongue up on the roof of his mouth and it would be shaky but by the time we got to see her Max was getting the whole eating thing down pat.

but she told me that when he eats i have to hold the spoon on his tongue and let him take the food off it, rather than me wiping the food into his mouth. it comes back to him having low muscle tone , it even includes his tongue. I'm more inclined to think , that he is just a lazy little bugger, LOL

the physio is very impressed with his progress, just as well cause i have been working very hard!

Max can now roll all around the lounge room if I let him, and now the girls are going to have to keep every little toy packed away so he doesnt eat it, he still puts EVERYTHING into his mouth!
